Though the Canadian Coast Guard is tasked with maritime security, the organization would not want anybody boating and drinking on the Great Lakes.

The Maritime Security Police – was one of the ships at the celebration of maritime heritage of the Welland Canal at the Canal Days Festival in Port Colborne.

Stacey Trombley, Captain of Private Robertson -Maritime Security Police   said in an interview that the organization partners with the RCMP to provide maritime security on the water.

The Canadian Coast Guard College trains navigators and engineers for maritime duties.
