Endurance Osaghae, 17, is ready to showcase his basketball talent to coaches, colleges and universities across North America. The 6 feet 7 inches basketball player of Northern Kings says he is now well equipped to get a scholarship for college and in addition pursue his dream of playing basketball at a higher level.
Endurance Osaghae, born in Nigeria, was one of the new citizens who took their oath of citizenship at a special citizenship ceremony at the BMO Field in Toronto.
He advised anyone intending to migrate to Canada to exercise a lot of patience. “It was an interesting journey,” he said. “I was happy to receive a call from immigration that I was ready to become a Canadian.” He came to Canada in 2010.
His newly acquired status will allow him to travel to the United States to play in highly competitive environment.
Hope Osaghae, mother of Endurance also became a Canadian at the special citizenship ceremony.
She remembered driving Endurance to various basketball games. “I feel so happy. It was a long journey together,” she said.
